Responsibilities:

The Account Manager is responsible for developing new business directly with large North American corporations, particularly in the financial services and retail industries, and through partnering with Managing Directors throughout Protiviti to develop the business of our training and communication programs in the US corporate marketplace.  Responsible for ensuring that each client project results with the client satisfied with our service and the quality of our work so that the client remains engaged through various engagements and develops a longstanding relationship.

Detailed Responsibilities:

Identify and develop sales opportunities at new and existing clients by partnering with Protiviti Managing Directors in various service solutions. 
Work with Protiviti offices in assigned geography to introduce our services to the Protiviti clients and build a network of contacts to drive new business relationships.
Responsible for the preparation of strategic briefs.  Work with our various internal departments (Business Intelligence, Interactive Media and Creative Services) to assemble proposals and presentations to sell our solutions.
Manage the preparation of client contractual agreements.  Deliver and negotiate any changes to the budget to the client.
Communicate with the client throughout the development and delivery phases to determine the client’s level of satisfaction and suggestions for ongoing improvement in our relationship and services.  Communicate internally to members of the project team the needs and expectations of the client.  Review solution strategy and materials to ensure there is alignment with client goals, environment and budget before strategy and materials are made available to the client.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing clients.  Respond to requests for quotation and delivery and after sales service.  Participate in photo shoots, facility location tours and talk to clients’ managers and associates throughout the year to determine success level of programs and areas for future development.  Solicit and capture client testimonials.

Proven Business Development skills preferably related to financial services or retail industries.
Strong interest in instructional or communication strategies. Experience in training and communications consulting is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships internally with management and externally with clients.
Ability to sell custom training and communications solutions to clients.
Must work well in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
Must work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.

Education & Experience

Undergraduate degree in a related discipline (i.e. Business, Communications, Technology, Training or Education, Change Management or Knowledge Management) required.
5+ years experience in a business development capacity preferably selling change management, communications, and training services.

 

Ability to Travel

Travel throughout the month through US and Eastern Canada required based on client requests/commitments.
